Not a day goes by without us hearing about some type of scam or financial fraud on the news, and over time potential scammers have become more sophisticated and inventive in their approaches.
We wouldn’t suggest that you lose any sleep over the threat of a financial scam, but it’s helpful to understand some of the things that can be targeted by scammers, and how to avoid being scammed. The impact of a financial scam can be devastating to the victim, with pension scam victims losing on average £91,000 according to industry bodies.
In this series of bite-sized videos we’ll focus on some of the common types of financial scams and give you some of our top tips to protect yourself against being scammed.
